About the project
Operation started in 2012 February 26th. It marks a major milestone of the first ever cement plant in Chad. Previously all cement was imported. China provided a very supportive loan and EPC contractor by China CAMC Engineering Co., Limited. President of Chad, Idriss Deby, France ambassador. America ambassador and China ambassador all attended the opening ceremony. The plant provides 200,000 tonnes of cement per year.
What we provided
- 5 sets of 2000KW Ningdong Diesel genset, running on HFO. Genset assembled in China.
- Full addition of electrical and mechanical equipment for the power station.
- Power Plant solution, design, and construction.
- On-site service and training.
The Challenge
- Located in the middle of Africa. Overcome transportation and construction in a remote area.
- Crucial reliability for a long-term base load for the whole cement plant.
Our Solutions
The whole cement plant relies heavily on the 5 sets of 2000KW diesel gensets. We provided support from the very beginning of the project. From designing the plant to providing an optimal solution, procurement, transportation, construction, testing, on-site training, commission, and after-sales services.
The solution we provided consisted of 5 sets of 2000KW Ningdong Diesel generator engines, running at 50Hz, 600rpm medium speed. Connected parallel with control panels, exhaust system, cooling system, and additional fuel treatment equipment. Expected running time of over 8500 hours per year.
